Born in Germany and graduated college in Boston, and now live in Kamakura.I have studied making Japanese sweets for over 15 years . In the course of learning it I found its cultural and art aspects, beauty and history that I want to share them with travelers who visit Kamakura. Kamakura is very historical city with many temples surrounded by beautiful oceans and mountains but also the place where people love and welcome new things and take it into original and unique culture. I started MIMOSA because I want to share Japanese history and culture through making sweets under modern way with relax and casual atmosphere.
When we travel around the world , we are always excited to meet new people, experience new things and come across unexpected scenery. It may happen at the quiet Zen temple with monk or local old beach with fisherman. It could be any such moment in any place.
Mimosa is the Japanese confectionary cooking class located in Kamakura, the old coastal town surrounded by beautiful mountain and beach. At Mimosa you can touch the sensitivity of the Japanese culture through the making of traditional Japanese sweets beyond with sharing great moments of seasons in Kamakura.
